Terror Returns to India

The bloody bomb blast in Pune's German Bakery is a grim reminder of the determination that drives terrorists intent on fomenting trouble in the country. The respite after 26/11 may only have been a brief one. Over the past two decades we have borne the brunt of several terror strikes on Indian cities. However, post-26/11, the complexion of our counterterrorism challenge has changed significantly. That's because it became apparent with the Mumbai attacks that along with harming Indians, terrorists are now gunning for foreigners visiting the country as well.
