Bangkok's residents are keeping their fingers crossed over how the Red Shirts' mass rally in the capital this weekend will turn out. The massive security forces mobilised by the government, as well as the repeated threats by leaders of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) for an all-out effort to bring down the amartaya-backed coalition government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, go against the repeated promises that the confrontation would be kept peaceful.
