BEIJING - North Korea's heir-apparent Kim Jong-eun is preparing to visit China in what is seen as his first formal debut on the international stage in his official capacity as the next leader of the reclusive state, diplomatic sources in China and South Korea say.
The visit may be made soon, as early as before the year's end, the sources say, indicating that preparations are unfolding fast, given the frail health of North Korea leader Kim Jong-il.
