Greece-Turkey Ties Regressing

Over the last decade, Turkish-Greek relations have transformed dramatically. The relations, traditionally characterized by periods of mutual hostility and reconciliation, have adopted a “softer” language of cooperation and dialogue.

There are still many areas of conflict between the two states, ranging from sovereignty rights in the Aegean Sea to the Cyprus issue. However, in the recent period, relations have considerably improved. Today, Turkey and Greece are two countries that have signed numerous cooperation agreements in different realms.
