When Leon Panetta moved from the CIA to the Pentagon last week, he listed his top priorities as defense secretary as defeating al Qaeda, forging a partnership with independent Iraq and coping with fast-shrinking military budgets.
As soon as he got to Baghdad over the weekend, however, Panetta faced a top priority he'd missed -- the Mideast's elephant in the room, Iran.
