The Liberals are trying to sow just enough doubt about their opponents in just enough voters to hold onto just enough seats to maintain power. And they seem to be aiming for a multipronged approach – trying at once to convince rural and suburban Ontarians that the New Democrats are scary socialists, and left-of-centre urbanites that they’ve abandoned their principles.
