This is an absolutely extraordinary performance by Rupert Murdoch, octogenarian head of News Corporation during questioning by the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee of the house of Commons.
He gives the impression of knowing nothing and having decided to just wing it – repeatedly saying he has never heard of key characters and issues involved in the phone hacking scandal. He also seemed to have come without his ear trumpet, repeatedly asking for questions to be repeated.
