Joe Biden Goes to Beijing

Why is the busy vice president boarding the plane for China?  Washington wants to discuss security issues, specifically the South China Sea, North Korea, and Taiwan.  On the first two topics, there’s little to talk about at this point.  On the third - Taiwan - we should not be holding discussions with the Chinese at all.
