The Republicans are struggling to find places to criticize President Obama on foreign policy. They can’t easily make the case that President Obama’s soft on terror given what has happened to Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda on his watch. They’re having a tough time making a case that the President got it wrong on Afghanistan or Iraq because most Americans do not want a longer occupation in Iraq or a larger presence in Afghanistan. Most Americans recognize that we’ve been in these countries for about a decade, which means Obama is not “cutting and running,” he’s just leaving…after a decade.
