Japan, China and South Korea: A Budding Alliance

Repeated summit talks between Japan, China and South Korea will lead to future stability in East Asia. The leaders of these three countries must further their relations with each other based on this understanding. At an annual summit meeting that took place in Beijing on May 13, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak confirmed their commitment to starting FTA negotiations by the end of the year and a coordinated response in the case of any aggressive activity by North Korea.
