It’s bad enough when American and coalition troops in Afghanistan meet death at the hands of the Taliban. Now they are increasingly vulnerable to members of the Afghan Army and police — the very forces they are training to secure the country’s future. At least 40 NATO troops have been killed by their Afghan counterparts this year, including 10 American service members in one horrendous two-week stretch.
