Impossible to Keep U.S. Diplomats Safe

We have taken considerable pride in having rid the world of a despicable dictator in Libya — without losing a single American life. Yet Moammar Gadhafi was not at the time imperilling U.S. interests; our attack was a “war of choice.” Unfortunately, there are now casualties — our four diplomats will be inscribed on the ever-lengthening State Department memorial list.
