China Can't Afford to Be Aggressive

Had Britain had a better understanding of the geopolitics of its sphere of influence 30 years ago, it might today still own Hong Kong, while the Falklands would belong to Argentina. Today, China may be making similar errors of judgment as it throws its weight around in the East and South China Seas, while missing the bigger picture - that as a rising power it has no need to bully the rest of the region or the world, but to embrace it and respect others' values and aspirations.
