U.S. President Barack Obama might want to watch an old western film, the 1966 classic The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, as he considers the deteriorating situation in Syria. In the movie, the character Tuco delivers a famous line, “If you’re going to shoot, shoot, don’t talk,” after calmly shooting an enemy who, having trapped Tuco in a hotel bathtub, brags about his accomplishment. Dumb thing to do. Tuco, like any wise man in an uncertain world, had taken his revolver into the tub.
