Six years ago, a small group of jihadis in Birmingham plotted to behead a Muslim soldier. The ringleader, Parviz Khan, spoke in advance about how he would go about it. “I think you cut it off like you cut a pig,” he said. “Then you put it on a stick and you say to all Muslim men [who] want to join the Kuffar [non-believers]: this is what happens to you.” We know this because the conversation was recorded by MI5, who swooped at just the right time, and five were convicted.
