A new opinion poll in France finds that François Hollande has made such a Horlicks of things that Nicolas Sarkozy, President Bling-Bling himself, has regained much of his old popularity. It cannot be long, surely, before the world is treated to a second series of the Sarko and Carla show, with all the potential for drama, glamour and scandal that it affords. Perhaps even Angela Merkel might crack a smile.
