Toronto is often compared to Chicago for its vibrant neighborhoods, diverse population and strong business community. But Chicago has not seen the likes of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who tearfully admitted this week that he had smoked crack cocaine. Ford's admission came after weeks of indignant denials, and only after Toronto's police chief confirmed that a video showed Ford smoking a crack pipe. Ford's excuse? He was probably in "one of my drunken stupors" at the time. Now here's an interesting thing: A poll taken after Ford admitted to smoking crack showed that he had a 43 percent approval rating.
