The Swiss Vote for Isolationism

Swiss voters narrowly approved an anti-immigration ballot measure Sunday. The margin was thin, 50.3%, but the effects could be wide-ranging and damaging. Switzerland is not a member of the EU, but agreements with Brussels allow for the free movement of labor between the republic and the union, along with passport- and visa-free travel.
