The Conservatives are worried about what is happening to Nick Clegg. Not, I hasten to add, out of kindness, or concern for the Deputy Prime Minister's general well being. No, they are concerned because what was supposed to have happened by about now is not happening. In essence, the Tory high command needed the Lib Dems to bounce back a little to improve their own chances going into the craziest and most harum scarum general election in a generation.
