Japan’s sorrow and Jordan’s anger are similar to the daily anguish suffered by those living in Islamic State-controlled areas. This harrowing incident should lead Japan to renew its commitment to further expand and deepen its ties with the governments of the Middle East, including Jordan, and all peoples in the region.
