On the doorstep of Downing Street after the famous Tory victory, the Prime Minister promised that this would be a one nation government that would serve every part of the country and show compassion towards the poorest. These were welcome words. It's clear that the electorate will always place their trust in the party that combines economic effectiveness, strong leadership and, crucially, social justice.
