Seoul Sees Hopes for Thaw with Japan

South Korea, cautiously encouraged by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's war anniversary statement, is hinting it is ready for "sincere dialogue" between the two countries' leaders later this year.

South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se told a local daily that a summit involving the leaders of South Korea, China and Japan will set the stage for "dialogue" with Tokyo, including a meeting between Park and Abe, when they and Chinese President Xi Jinping gather for a trilateral summit.
