Erdogan Seeks to Consolidate Rule in Turkish Vote

Turkish voters headed to the polls on Sunday as the long-ruling political force founded by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan tries to reclaim the one-party rule in parliament that it lost in a humbling June election. Amid growing security concerns fueled by a two-front war with Islamic State and Kurdish militants, voters will decide for a second time this year whether to give Mr. Erdogan the legislative backing he wants to shore up his powers as president.
