In their desperation to prevent a Brexit, pro-EU campaigners have no shame about resorting to ever-more dire threats to persuade the public of the potential perils if they vote to leave the 28-member organisation.
Previously, most of these threats have related to the possible negative impact on the economy. We have been told that millions of jobs would be lost as a result of reduced trading ties, and that the City of London’s pre-eminent position as a global financial centre would be diminished by having more limited access to European markets.
