THAT PHOTOGRAPH of Air Force One descending into Havana on Sunday, over antique cars parked by ramshackle homes, didn’t just document the present state of transportation technology in Cuba. The image also lay bare the philosophical break that President Obama has made with his predecessors. After decades, the leader of world’s mightiest power is treating the island like a normal country, without insisting that its communist dictatorship disappear first.
