World Cup Final: Which Country is More Prosperous?
Holland vs. Spain
Spain have reached their first World Cup final ever and face Holland in Johannesburg on Sunday. While there is little to separate the two countries on the pitch, there is a clear winner when it comes to national prosperity. Holland rank 11 places higher than Spain in the 2010 Prosperity Index rankings and score higher in every sub-index score except two: Democratic Institutions and Health.
Uruguay vs. Germany
Germany has won the world cup final three times in 1954, 1974, and 1990. In 2010 they are trying to grab another third place against Uruguay. Germany rank 14 places higher than Uruguay in the 2010 Prosperity Index rankings and score higher in every sub-index score except one: Personal Freedom.
