Partial Afghan Poll Count Shows Karzai in Lead
Preliminary results from Afghanistan's national elections have come in, and incumbent President Hamid Karzai appears to have garnered 41 per cent of the vote so far. Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Karzai's main rival who has presented what he says is evidence of fraud, trails closely behind with 39 per cent.
