Garry Kasparov on Putin/Trump: "The American President Must Reject Unequivocally a Dictatorship"

GARRY KASPAROV: The American President, or a candidate for a major party, must reject unequivocally a dictatorship. The way he presented his opinion on Putin is, it's not only praising Putin as a strong leader, because a 'dictator' is a strongman, is a strong leader by definition.

So it sounds like praising the methods of destroying democracy, jailing political activists, destroying free media, invading neighboring countries, ignoring and violating international law. And unfortunately, Donald Trump's record offers no confidence that if he is elected he will find the right language and the right mechanism of opposing Putin's aggression.
