U.S. And E.U. Special Forces Training African Armies To Fight Terrorism

This video from the New York Times highlights the 'Flintlock' program in which elite special forces units from the U.S> and Europe travel to Africa to teach their counterparts there how to effectively fight terrorists and urban warfare. The excersize has been held annually since 2005 and includes seven African states. Since 2005, heavily armed militant groups like Boko Haram and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb have caused havoc across sub-Saharan Africa.
