French Election Live: First Round Of Presidential Election Results

UPDATE: Macron and Le Pen will advance to the second round.

Live coverage from FRANCE-24 as the results from Round One of the French presidential election come in. Early results can be expected by midafternoon on Sunday in the U.S.

Any two of the top four candidates could make it to the second round in June: Conservative Francois Fillon, nationalist Marine Le Pen, socialist Jean-Luc Melanchon, or liberal Emmanuel Macron.

The vote, which comes just three days after a terrorist attack in Paris, has been called 'too close to call,' with the top four candidates each averaging between 20-25 percent in polls.
