Even though Gordon Brown has gathered the world's leaders together in London for the G20, and Barack Obama is holding his first meetings with some of the most important people on the planet, it is Nicolas Sarkozy, president of France, who is trying to steal all the publicity.
Mr Sarkozy, who has already been claiming credit for the summit's existence in the first place, has been grandstanding by threatening to walk out of the G20 if there is not an agreement on stronger international financial regulation.
