Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of state, made quite a stir last week. After an injury to her elbow and speculation in Washington over her diminished role in the Obama administration, she had a vigorous return. Her comeback on the sideline of a summit in Thailand was nothing short of thunderous. She chided North Korea for its unruly, childlike behaviour and raised the fear that Myanmar’s military junta could import missile and nuclear technology for Pyongyang.
