Britain's Labour Has No Sense of History

As Britain slides towards bankruptcy, as our public services falter and wheeze, as the lights threaten to go out and as our international reputation dips into the gutter, we should thank God for the finely attuned sense of priorities exhibited by our Prime Minister. Rather than attend to any of these trifling matters, he devotes himself to composing an apology to a dead homosexual prosecuted in 1952 for picking up a 19-year-old boy and committing an act of gross indecency with him. The country is a happier, safer and more prosperous place today as a result.

Labour has no sense of history, and is therefore incapable of understanding that different laws applied in different times. To our sensibilities it is monstrous that consenting adults should be punished for a form of sexual activity, even though many would regard it as unnatural. This was not the case, except in quite rarefied circles, in 1952.
