Cameron Has What It Takes for the Job

 

We knew what the problems were before David Cameron stood up. He didn't need to spell them out. Anyone who has lived through Britain's demoralising slide into a command-and-control society, with big government determined to exert influence where it is neither productive nor effective, understands the important issues.

Nevertheless, it was vital that the Leader of the Opposition had the courage to point them out on a national stage – and that he did. Mr Cameron has never been my cup of tea; I don't suppose I'm his. But what he delivered yesterday was a spot-on analysis of the troubles blighting this country, and a credible agenda for reform that must be embraced before Labour's damage becomes irreparable.
