During 2010 we will have a British general election in which one of the main issues will be the weirdly retro one of social class. The ruling Labour Party does not have much ordnance in its arsenals, but the one sulfurous stink bomb it does possess--a weapon of possible mass destruction, politically, or so it hopes--is the "toffishness" of the challenging Conservatives and their youthful leader, David Cameron.
