In the first decade of the 21st century, India seized the opportunities of the new knowledge economy and sped off down the information superhighway. Now it's time to deal with an urgent task left over from the old low-tech days.
Infrastructure must be India's focus today, for its overhaul will drive our economic growth in this new decade. Above all, we need good roads. And we need to build them quickly to maintain our edge as Asia gets set to lead the world to economic recovery.
