The Return of Agrarian Society?

You might think an economy experiencing serious constraints on capital availability and final demand might be a pretty static, boring place. Turns out that’s not true. Some very interesting things are changing in the infotech world. And the changes are coming fast.

Corporate IT has traditionally been the driver for infotech innovations. That’s been true ever since computers were referred to as “automation” in the Sixties and were focused on accelerating financial record keeping. (To this day, maybe half of all large enterprises have a CIO or CTO that reports to the CFO rather than the CEO.)
