Pakistanis gulped over breakfast this morning when they heard the disturbing news that a Pakistani-born U.S. citizen, Faisal Shahzad, had been arrested as a suspect in the car bomb found in New York.
A sense of despair and helplessness has gripped a Pakistani public that now faces more suicide bomb attacks each day than even Afghans next door. Major cities like Peshawar, where more than 100 police officers have been killed this year, are under siege by the Pakistani Taliban. Now it seems Pakistani militants are also involved in global jihad.
