It turns out that Fidel Castro probably isn’t going to live to 120 after all, despite the confident predictions of his regime just four years ago. Now an ailing 83, Mr Castro two years ago gave up Cuba’s presidency to his younger brother, Raul, 79, and his trademark four-hour harangues from public podiums have been replaced by rambling commentaries in the party newspaper.
