IN a few brief months Tony Abbott has turned Australian politics on its head.
He has given the Coalition a fighting chance of victory over a first-term government.
That last happened when the Scullin Labor government was defeated during the Depression.
Abbott so rattled former prime minister Kevin Rudd that he began a series of policy reversals that contributed to his loss of public support and, therefore, his removal as Labor leader.
