In interviews with several media outlets, Ahmadinejad claimed that there was no crackdown in Iran against the opposition and that the people in his country enjoyed complete freedom. He stated that the opposition in Iran is free to express its views or hold demonstrations and that no one is executed for opposing the regime. He even said that, "Nobody loses their job because of making a statement that reflects their opinion."
