It is to Julia Gillard's credit that Rudd is continuing, as Foreign Minister, most of the foreign policy projects he embarked on as PM. Rudd certainly made his foreign policy mistakes as PM, mistakes this column was never shy to point out. But his positive achievements were enormous.
