Jack Layton wasn't the only one smiling after the NDP rally in Gilles Duceppe's riding over the Easter weekend; federalists from all political stripes grinned from ear to ear. It would be better if conservatives, not socialists, triggered the Bloc Québécois's demise, but it's still nicer to live in a world where politics operates on a left-right axis instead of a separatist-federalist one.
