The factors that made Osama bin Laden a pioneer of modern, multinational terrorism died with him. No successor exists with the same charisma, organizational instincts, fundraising networks among Gulf Arabs, genius for finding new ways to commit mass murder or ability to lure so many young, disaffected Muslims to fight and die for his perverted ideas. Thankfully so.
