British Tax Payer Fleeced By Greece

As Greece slides deeper into financial crisis, the leaders of the EU plan to throw more taxpayers’ money at the beleaguered, near bankrupt country. But the belief that Greece can be helped by another huge injection of foreign cash is simply absurd, like pretending that the health of a chronic alcoholic will be improved by pouring more drink down his throat. Yesterday at a meeting in Luxembourg, Eurozone Finance Ministers approved another £10 billion in loans to Athens, thereby enabling the Greek Government to avoid defaulting on its immediate debt repayments over the next couple of months. But the position remains so dire that the EU agreed in principle to a further huge package of support worth around £95 billion, a similar total to the colossal bailout that was dished out to Greece last May.
