Turkey now seems to have delivered to the EU a sort of ultimatum, with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stating that if there is no solution to the Cyprus problem by the time the Greek Cypriots take up the EU’s rotating presidency in July 2012, Turkey will freeze relations.
