Gordon’s productive Jew, Ahad Ha’am’s Hebrew Jew, Ze’ev Jabotinsky’s fighting Jew and David Ben-Gurion’s stately Jew, who was to shed our forebears’ ghetto walls and the ignorance, tribalism and narrow-mindedness that flourished within them.
