Ah yes, a great week for democracy. Governments are running amok: in Turkey, beating up ingrates who have taken to protesting in the streets; and in Washington they're too busy to ever go to bed, stalking the phone and email activity of the entire nation round the clock, searching for people who might become terrorists.
