ISIS Wouldn't Die with al-Baghdadi

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, religious psychopath, mass-murderer, and self-declared caliph of Isil’s quasi-state, is said to have been wounded in a US air strike on Friday night close to the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. The UK’s Chief of the Defence Staff Sir Nick Houghton even talked of the leader’s “potential death”.

Does this herald the beginning of the end for Isil, which has spread dramatically since its June blitzkrieg? Or, as Sir Nick warned, will Isil simply “regenerate leadership” and bounce back?
