Fifteen heads of state have confirmed that they will attend Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel López Obrador's (AMLO) swearing in ceremony on December 1st. But one confirmation in particular—that of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro—has triggered a heated public debate over whether he should be welcomed into the country, and raised questions about his future administration's position on the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and its participation in the Grupo de Lima.
